Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is well-known by her stage name or screen identity Gugu Mbatha Raw. She became popular because she was a part of "Doctor who.' This British science fiction TV series is telecast on BBC. Gugu made her name by playing Tish Jones on the popular BBC show. She played the role of companion to the main character who was named Martha Jones. The audience loved Gugu's spontaneity and was soon heading towards an extensive acting career. In addition, she was a part of other British stage and television productions. Her work has been critically acclaimed due to her outstanding performance in "Belle," (2013) in a British period drama, as well as in "Beyond the Lights" (2014) an ethereal drama. Additionally, in American productions, she's appeared on TV series like "Undercover" as well as "Touch" in addition to as Tom Hanks comedy film "Larry Crowne". Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on the 25th of February, 1975. Handler was one of the six youngest children. Handler was the child of a salesman and a housewife. Her mother is a German that immigrated to United States from Germany in 1958. In 1989 she was diagnosed with cancer and died ten years afterward. The father of Handler is Jewish and she grew up in Reform Judaism. Handler lived in a safe neighborhood and was a very happy child. When she was 19 the young woman was able to move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. To make ends meet, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler began performing stand-up as a full-time comedian when she reached the age of 21. She realized she had a talent for the art of storytelling. Handler started her stand-up career on her role on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly show, which featured a reality TV show that had the use of a hidden camera/practical joke. This show aired from 2002 until 2005. The host then appeared on various other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a the correspondent to The Tonight Show. Handler gained her biggest break in 2006 when she began producing her own TV show on E! it was dubbed The Chelsea Handler Series. Chelsea Handler's Show lasted for 2 seasons. Handler performed on Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next year throughout the United States. Her stand-up performances have been aired by VH1 and Comedy Central's Premium Blend and HBO. Her name was chosen as host for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. She became the only woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
