Handler began performing stand-up as a full-time comedian when she reached the age of 21. She realized she had a talent for the art of storytelling. Handler started her stand-up career on her role on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly show, which featured a reality TV show that had the use of a hidden camera/practical joke. This show aired from 2002 until 2005. The host then appeared on various other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids.
